Fast & Furious 8 Movie Casting News: Fast and Furious 8 will take to the streets of New York City. Fast & Furious 8 will be a part of the three-part finale that NBC Universal has planned.
Fast & Furious 8 producer Vin Diesel told Jimmy Fallon last October that the 8th film's next stop is the streets of New York City.
On the heels of Fast And Furious 7's success, the studio has already announced a release date of April 14, 2017, for the release of the eighth installment in the franchise.
"Fast and Furious 8" will enter new chapter after the untimely death of its breakout star, the charismatic and charitable Paul Walker. According to Vin Diesel, after Fast and Furious 8, the studio will be producing both prequels and spin offs.
With the reboots of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the retooling of the "Star Wars" franchise, studios are letting the stories grow while keeping the core of the original movie intact.
"Fast and Furious 8" will set up an upcoming trilogy. The start of the trilogy starts on April 14, 2017.
Mia Torreto's return is still not offficially confirmed, but actress Jordana Brewster hasn't ruled it out.
"I don't know [if I'd do another film], but it's always dependent on the fans. If they want one and if there's an appetite for it. We never want to jump the shark!" Brewster told Huffington Post Live. The star's death almost derailed the final production on "Fast and Furious 7," which became one of the biggest hit movies of all time. Walker's character Brian O' Connor was played by his brother Cody in post-production cuts.
According to Parent Herald, Neal H. Moritz, the producer of Fast and Furious 8, confirmed that Paul Walker or his character will not be a part of the film.
Crossmap reported that Dwayne Johnson would like to see his character Luke Hobbs get into his own independent adventures.
Fast and Furious 8 will also star Jason Statham, Michelle Rodrigues,Kurt Russell, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris and Lucas Black, from Tokyo Drift.
Fast and Furious 8 will be released on April 15, 2017.
