Tila Tequila WILL Get Paid For Celebrity Big Brother After Being Kicked Off For Pro-Hitler Facebook Posts
Tila Tequila will be paid her fee for Celebrity Big Brother despite her pro-Nazi scandal. The Reality star was kicked out Celebrity Big Brother by Britain's Channel 5 after less than a day after tweets were found on her Twitter account.
The 34-year-old described Hitler as "not a bad person" and released a picture of herself in Nazi uniform while posing with a gun outside Auschwitz concentration camp. The Daily Star reported that a "contractual loophole' means the Channel 5 will have to pay up to £100,000.
At the time, Tequila, whose real name is Thien Thanh Thi Nguyen, apologized and blamed the Facebook postings on a drug addiction, she pointed out, correctly, that her controversial statements were heavily reported.
When Tila was booted, a Channel 5 spokesman told Mirror Online that "Channel 5 and Endemol did not know about the views and attitudes Tila had expressed in social media postings prior to her involvement in Celebrity Big Brother.
"When they were brought to our attention, she was called to the Diary Room for a discussion with producers and was subsequently removed from the house.
"The views Tila had expressed, and permitted to remain uncorrected, are totally unacceptable and, accordingly, her continued involvement in the program was untenable."
Tila took to Twitter to say she made the posts when she was suffering from severe depression and drug addiction and was considering suicide. She had suffered a brain aneurysm which hospitalized the model.
Channel 5 should "apologize fully for their enormous error of judgement," Jonathan Sacerdoti, from the Campaign Against Anti-Semitism, said
The entertainer has strongly denied that she is anti-Semitic. All the posts have since been removed and in 2012 said she was considering converting to Judaism.
At least Tila got flashed her white thong at fellow Housemate, former Apprentice star James Hill.
"You Brit boys could never handle me," Tila said on the show.
