&TEAM Mark on Me, D.O. DOPAMINE Comeback Same Hour
&TEAM's second Korean mini-album, "Mark on Me," and EXO's D.O. fourth mini-album, "DOPAMINE," landed at the exact same hour Tuesday: 6 p.m. KST. Different labels, different genres, same clock - the two releases will spend their first day of chart tracking measured against each other whether either camp planned it that way or not.
"Mark on Me" is &TEAM's first Korean-language release in about ten months, following last October's "Back to Life," whose title track swept three domestic music shows. The nine-member HYBE Labels Japan group built the new album's promotion around the werewolf narrative it has used since debut, framing this cycle as "the wolf who loved Red," a nod to Little Red Riding Hood. The physical album comes in twelve versions, including nine individual member editions. The group held a comeback showcase Tuesday evening at SBS Sangam Prism Tower, livestreamed on Weverse with subtitles in eight languages. &TEAM returns to Seoul's KSPO Dome on October 3 for an encore stop on its "Blaze the Way" tour.
"DOPAMINE" is D.O.'s fourth mini-album and his first new music since last September's digital single "Dumb." It follows a solo run that has moved steadily from EPs - "Empathy" in 2021, "Expectation" in 2023, "Blossom" in 2024 - into his first full-length album, "Bliss," last year. The five-track "DOPAMINE" is led by "Guitarist," an R&B and soul cut co-written with longtime collaborator Penomeco that uses guitar playing as a metaphor for the pull between two people. The release opens into D.O.'s 2026-2027 solo tour, "Day Off," which is currently confirmed to include Kaohsiung, Singapore, Hong Kong, Manila, Tokyo, Taipei and a stop at Jakarta's Istora GBK Senayan on November 21-22.
The two comebacks land in the same week as three other releases - Soyeon's solo debut album, Minho's solo EP and singer Lim Young-woong's special digital release - making this the busiest stretch on September's comeback calendar. Neither &TEAM nor D.O. has framed the overlap as competitive, and both release dates were set months before either label would have known the other's. On music shows and real-time charts, though, the two will be counted in the same hour-by-hour window regardless of intent.
&TEAM's next scheduled stop is the Seoul encore in October. D.O.'s November dates in Southeast Asia are the first confirmed leg of "Day Off"; the rest of the route hasn't been announced.
