Frank Ocean Called Out To Release New Album; Singer Continues To Be Mum On 'Boys Don’t Cry’ Update
Frank Ocean's new album "Boys Don't Cry" seems to be far from release, even after Kanye West and Rihanna have announced the completion of their upcoming albums "Swish" and "Anti," respectively.
Amid all the hype, Ocean continues to be mum on any update or information regarding the release of his most anticipated album yet.
Back in April, Frank Ocean had announced that his new album would arrive by July. But 2015 came and ended without any signs of a new release.
Now, as January is marching towards its end, fans are still waiting for as little as a tweet from the singer.
Unlike Ocean, Rihanna and West have recently revealed about their respective upcoming albums.
Rihanna surprised her fans on Monday morning when she posted a selfie with a caption, "Listening to Anti." The tweet indicated that the singer is ready with her new music.
Meanwhile, West posted a photo of the song list of his forthcoming 10-track album on Twitter.
"So happy to be finished with the best album of all time," wrote West along with the photo, reported Music.Mic.
The last update on Frank Ocean's new album came from rapper Rich The Kid, who confirmed that he was working with the singer on his new album.
The Atlanta- born rapper even posted a screenshot of Ocean and himself as they were FaceTiming on Twitter, which hinted of their collaboration.
"We recording new music today." said Rich, according to Hot New Hip Hop. "We are in L.A. I'm here working with Wiz [Khalifa] and I called him [Frank Ocean], he's in the studio."
Accordingly, Rich The Kid's tweet clearly indicated that Frank Ocean's new album is still under production and is not ready for release.
With the direction all pointing to the music offering still being worked on, it has been widely speculated that it may be ready for release sometime during the latter part of this year or early next year, according to Youth Health Magazine.
