None of the Millers died or became a sacrifice. Thanks to the ghost of Edward Philippe Mott (portrayed by Evan Peters), who was a subsequent of the house.
Mott used the Roanoke house as the storage of his painting collection. Aside from that, the house was the place where Mott conducted clandestine homosexual affairs with one of his servants.
The ghost Mott is the reason why the Millers are alive. Although he led them to the woods escaping from the Tomasyns, the Pold family kidnapped the Millers after the ghost disappeared.
The Polk family brought the Millers to The Butcher (re-enactor, Kathy Bates). When the Millers were about to be killed as a sacrifice, Lee Harris (re-enactor, Angela Bassett) rescued them, and drove the car so fast to escape from the mob.
