Shailene Woodley Too Busy For Boyfriend? Actress Joins 'Big Little Lies' Cast
Shailene Woodley seems to have no time to spare as she becomes part of the new HBO drama series titled "Big Little Lies." This comes as she prepares for the release date of "The Divergent Series: Allegiant" alongside on-screen boyfriend Theo James.
Shailene Woodley and Alexander Skarsgard will be onboard the new TV show together with Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon, who are also the executive producers of the series. The darkly comedic show will feature the lives of three women with young children following a murder, according to Fox News.
The "Insurgent" star, who has already began shooting for the new series, was photographed looking shocked while having a chat with actress Laura Dern. Also in the same frame was an equally surprised Reese Witherspoon, reported Just Jared.
Amid her new endeavor, Shailene Woodley gears up as her film with on-screen boyfriend Theo James is set to be shown in two months. The 24-year-old actress will reprise her role as Tris in "Allegiant," which is based on a novel penned by Veronica Roth.
Meanwhile, it is expected that the last two installments of the series will have a different ending from the book series on which it was based from.
According to the novel, Tris will die at the end of the series. But the fans are not ready to accept such a tragic ending as they have launched a petition in change.org to alter the script and let Tris and Four have their happily ever after, reported Movies News Guide.
Even Shailene Woodley's on-screen boyfriend is on board the happy ending storyline as Theo James even joked with Sugarscape that their characters will go on to have twins named Bertie and Bernadette.
As for Veronica Roth, she seems to have no qualms about tweaking the ending.
"What does this mean? Well, basically, it means there are going to be some changes. But it's really too early to know exactly what those changes will be or the extent of them," she said author per MTV News.
