'Thor 3: Ragnarok' News: Plot Revealed By Marvel President; New Movie Will Include The Hulk
"Thor 3: Ragnarok" is the latest addition on the widely popular franchise, and the latest news on the movie was revealed by no other than the president of Marvel himself in an interview with Empire magazine.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige teased fans with some insider details regarding the third installment of the standalone "Thor" franchise. Feige added that the upcoming movie will bring fans as well as the titular character into a completely new place never before seen or heard.
Rumors, speculations and fan theories spread like wildfire following Feige statements. The most prominent theory entails Thor going back to his homeworld since Earth is already safe under the protection of Iron Man, Captain America and the Daredevil.
A statement acquired by ComicBookResources cited Feige as saying, "The film takes place within the cosmos primarily, which is to say, frankly, very little Earth. I don't think people will read into that title alone what the movie's going to be. It's going to be perhaps, as totally different from the two prior 'Thro' movies as 'Winter Soldier' was from the first 'Captain America.'"
Feige also confirmed the long rumored news about teh appearance of the character Hulk into the Thor franchise. This means that Hulk's appearance in "Thor 3: Ragnarok" marks the first ever non-Avengers appearance of the character in a separate movie.
Aside from Hulk, fan theories also speculate that since the third "Thor" movie is not set on Earth, there is a big possibility that the Valkyries will make an appearance and may even play a major role in the plot of the movie.
The Valkyries play a vital role in the Marvel comics' version of "Thor," as well as in Norse mythology. They are goddesses who pick fallen warriors who are worthy of entering Valhalla, the Norse's version of Heaven.
Cinema Blend suggested that the Asgardian warrior, Valkyrie, might make an appearance. The leader of Valkyrior is known for her strength and skill in the spear and sword.
