Friends Say Mark Salling Of 'Glee' Was Just Set Up After Being Arrested For Child Pornography
Mark Salling shocked "Glee" fans when he was arrested for child pornography last week.
According to Crime Watch Daily, the Los Angeles Police Department's Internet Crimes Against Children Unit reportedly found several indecent photos of children in the 33-year-old's computer after a warranted search of his apartment in Sunland, California.
TMZ added that the officers found hundreds of images in his possession.
"He was taken into custody this morning for possession of child porn," LAPD Officer Aareon Jefferson later confirmed to People.
Mark Salling, who played Noah Puckerman or Puck in the high school dramedy "Glee," paid $20,000 on Dec. 29 for bail after being arrested.
His roommate Jonathan Hernandez was reportedly not in the apartment during the incident. However, his brother Frank Hernandez reportedly told Radar Online as reportedly by Mirror that they were "surprised" to hear about what happened.
"Everything that was raided in Mark's room and taken from there and had nothing to do with my brother," he supposedly told the site, adding that his brother was "in shock," especially since he was also investigated by the police about the child pornography case.
"He's surprised, but I think police interviewed him and asked him a lot of questions," he added.
Frank Hernandez further suggested that a former girlfriend of the TV star could have tipped the police off about the photos.
"Apparently it was a set-up," he continued, adding that his brother was thoroughly cooperating with police as much as he could.
Could he have been set up by the girlfriend that previously accused him of sexual battery?
People noted that Salling had a previous run-in with the law when he had to pay a former flame $2.7 million in March. She accused him of knocking her to the ground after confronting him of sexual battery.
