Volkswagen MicroBus concept 2016 Released at CES: BUDD-e, The Future Of Automobiles?

Volkswagen has officially released its new Microbus Concept for the year at the international CES 2016 namely- The New BUDD-e Microbus EV concept.There is no information about the Pricing yet.

According to the company, the 373-mile all-electric range Microbus EV Concept BUDD-e's Exciting criteria is that "BUDD-e is a mobile interface which connects the vehicle with the world around it", Cited Mashable.

Features: Beneath the BUDD-e's Charming physical design and exteriors is the new Modular Electric Toolkit  (MEB). With a 101 kwh watt battery packed below, the BUDD-e can perform a staggering 373 miles on a single charge. In addition to that, it can also do upto a high speed as high as 93 mph.

The exterior of the vechicle is as admirable as its features too. It comes in a two-tone paint scheme With Nevada White paint on its body and Phoenix Copper on the roof and is equipped with an LED-accented VW Logo and 21-inch wheels.

According to The Verge, Volkswagen's new Microbus concept is nothing but a Volkswagen bus stuffed with full of futuristic CES buzzwords.  Volkswagen calls it a "Gateway to the future". It is reported that if the company needs to survive, constant innovations are to be made.

The BUDD-e is based on Volkswagen's new Modular Electric Platform designed for electric vehicles. The rear and front engines are located farther at the front and rear ends respectively. This allows an enormous entirely flat door with a huge room for activities.

Battery: 101 kWh batteries (perfect for a 373 mile range) according to New European Driving Cycle, an EU standard for measuring fuel efficiency. It can get to a high speed of 93 mph.

Display: It includes two panels of instrument cluster and the central infotainment system. The Active Info Display is a flexible instrument cluster directly in front of the driver. The panel is broken into three different sections, each focusing on a different task: Drive, Consume and Control. In addition to these it includes audio controls, smartphone integration messages, calendars and weather information.

There are feeds from cameras that replace the wing mirrors and are included in the multifunction displays where the mirrors would usually be.

The Steering has no buttons. Instead, there are swipes and touch interface with feedback, making the vehicle more intuitive than ever.

Infrared sensors detect passengers' approach and opens doors to them accordingly.

LED lights placed everywhere, an illuminated Volkswagen Logo on the front and a continuous LED lightstrip at the rear end.

The company says the inner make is a quantum leap like jump from flip phones to smartphones or from analog to smart watches. There are numerous connections between the BUDD-e and smart features. Volkswagen foresees a time when our smart homes and smart cars would be interconnected. Thus the revolutionary Volkswagen's new Microbus Concept "BUDD-e" is likely to be the future of automobiles
