Harley Quinn More Popular Than Joker? New 'Suicide Squad' Trailer Excites Margot Robbie Fans
Margot Robbie fans are excitedly awaiting the new clips of Harley Quinn in a fresh "Suicide Squad" trailer which is scheduled to air in The CW this month.
Is the actress becoming so popular in her role as Harley Quinn that she could be outshining Jared Leto's The Joker?
Jared Leto has gained a lot of attention last year over his dedication to the role of the iconic villain. During a question and answer session with his band Thirty Seconds To Mars in Dubai Music Week in October, the "Suicide Squad" star addressed someone who attended in a Batman shirt.
"You're really brave," Leto said, as quoted by The National. "I can't wait for you to see this - they're going to lock me away in a box after this movie comes out."
Though some may argue that he is just being humorous, there are those who speculate that the actor might be taking his Joker character a little too seriously.
It has earlier been reported that Jared Leto got Margot Robbie a rat as a gift, saying that it's for Harley Quinn from The Joker. Not to be caught off-guard by her co-star's gesture, she reportedly did not freak out and decided to play along.
In a previous interview with Elle, Robbie talked about Leto's gift to her and why she decided to keep the rodent she named Rat Rat despite several crew members suggesting killing it.
"If Harley [her character in Suicide Squad] got something from Joker, she'd probably cherish it." the 24-year-old actress said.
Was Margot Robbie trying to prove that she could be as dedicated to Harley Quinn just as much as Jared Leto was to The Joker?
It may not be clear, but one thing's for sure - Margot Robbie impressed fans enough that she could be in competition with Jared Leto as the face of the super villain flick.
According to IGN.com, Jared Leto's Joker is "Perhaps the most anticipated character in Suicide Squad (though his girlfriend Harley Quinn in surely giving him a run for his money in that department)."
