‘Half Life 3’ Release Date Rumors: Valve Reportedly Focuses On ‘Left 4 Dead 3’ Development Over Half Life 3; SteamDB Finds Vaporware Info Inside DOTA 2 Update

'Half Life 3' Release Date Rumors: Half-Life 3 generates interest whenever new information surfaces, real or imagined. There have been rumors that the game was confirmed by Valve, with a release date in 2017. Valve has not announced any official news regarding to its development or possibly cancelation the long awaited game, "Half-Life 3."

Valve has been trying to keep news about "Half Life 3" under wraps, but fans have been getting details where they can. SteamDB got hold of a new list of games possibly coming to Steam that includes the PS4 hit Everybody's Gone to the Rapture and Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD and Half Life. 3.

SteamDB found evidence of gaming's greatest vaporware inside Valve's PC game sharing program, in the hl3.txt found in the DOTA 2 update.

"While this information comes straight from Valve and many of these kinds of leaks turned out to be real in the past," Stream DB wrote, "it is important to note that third-party Steam developers can create and name their own apps/packages, a noteworthy mention of developers doing this are these packages, in which they are trying to XSS Steam."

Valve has not announced any official news regarding to its development or possibly cancelation the long awaited game, "Half-Life 3."

WCCFtech wrote that "Half Life 3"might not support virtual reality (VR). Valve executive Ken Birdwell ended rumors that the Valve will announce "Half Life 3" to highlight the power of Steam's own headset.

YouthHealthMag suggested that fans should forget about "Half Life 3" for the time being because latest rumors suggest that Valve is currently focusing on developing more multiplayer titles. Previous reports claimed Valve began production on "Half Life 3," but decided to stop. According to a statement by Valve Corporation, the game won't be in development anytime soon.

"I can't comment on Valve's internal process, but it sounds like someone is trolling," Crossmap quoted game writer Marc Laidlaw as saying.

According to Venture Capital Post, Valve co-founder Gabe Newell declared that Half Life 3 was not in development. Newell was reportedly surprised by how much interest was generated by Half Life 3.

Bitbag reported that Valve is focused on developing "Left 4 Dead 3," which is causing a delay in Half Life 3 release date.

Rumors say Left 4 Dead 3 is under development and it will be released in 2017. Half Life 3 may be the most discussed title in gaming as Half Life 2 fans have been waiting for ten years for the sequel.
