Ian Somerhalder And Nikki Reed Having Troubles After Wedding? Couple Rumored Heading For Divorce
Not too long after Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed tied the knot earlier last year, the couple was said to have been dealing with several issues about their marriage after the wedding.
Around October last year, rumors about the two heading for divorce began to circulate and immediately made headlines. The speculations claimed that Somerhalder and Reed were having a hard time building a family, which fuelled rumors about the separation.
According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, the 37-year old "Vampire Diaries" actor is desperate in becoming a father. Rumor has it that Somerhalder's desire to settle down was the reason why he and his former girlfriend and TVD co-star Nina Dobrev broke up.
Aside from Somerhalder's desire to experience fatherhood, reports claimed that he was also upset over Reed's role in the supernatural drama TV series "Sleep Hollow" as Betsy Ross. Somerhalder is reportedly more frustrated in having a hard time building a family as Reed sets aside baby plans and focuses on her career.
"She wants to focus on her work for animal rights causes. Ian supports her, but he thinks it's the right time for a baby," a source quoted in Jobs&Hire. Another source added, "Nikki is ambitious and worries about derailing her career if she gets pregnant now."
Despite the several rumors about their marriage, none of them commented on the issue about divorce and the couple seems to appear stronger. In fact, Somerhalder has happily celebrated his birthday with the "Twilight" star last mid December.
On Instagram, Reed sent a long and meaningful birthday greeting to her husband and posted a black and white photo with the words "I love you" written on it
"You are my every dream brought to life," she wrote Friday. "With our hands pressed together I know that we will always find our way home."

Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed dated in 2014. After confirming their engagement in February 2015, the two got married last April in Malibu, California.
