T1's legendary mid-laner Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok reached an unprecedented milestone in professional League of Legends, becoming the first player ever to record 700 wins in the LCK. The historic achievement came during T1's decisive 2-0 victory over KT Rolster on August 13, 2025.

Breaking New Ground

At 29 years old, Faker achieved this landmark before any other player had even reached 600 LCK wins. His closest competitor, Hanwha Life Esports' Han "Peanut" Wang-ho, currently sits at 531 wins - nearly 170 wins behind.

The milestone represents the culmination of Faker's extraordinary 13-year career, during which he has compiled 703 wins across 1,054 matches for a 66.7% win rate. What makes this achievement even more remarkable is his unwavering loyalty to a single organization throughout his entire professional career.

Record-Breaking Week

Faker wasn't alone in making history during LCK Round 4, Week 2. Peanut became the first jungler to reach 800 games played in the LCK on August 17 during Gen.G's match against Hanwha Life Esports.

Other notable milestones from the week included:

  • Heo "ShowMaker" Su (Dplus KIA) reached 400 career LCK kills
  • Park "Viper" Do-hyun and Kim "Kellin" Hyung-gyu both hit 500 career LCK games
  • Cho "BeryL" Geon-hee became only the second support to reach 500 LCK kills

The Path to 700

Faker's journey to 700 wins has been methodical, marking several firsts along the way: 400 wins (February 2021), 500 wins (July 2022), and 600 wins (February 2024). Earlier this year, he became the first player to reach 1,000 LCK games on April 10 against the same opponent, KT Rolster.

"Records keep being made when I least expect them," Faker said after the match. "When these milestones happen, I think 'I've been doing this for a long time.' I'm grateful to everyone who congratulated me."

Championship Legacy

Beyond domestic dominance, Faker's trophy case includes five World Championships (2013, 2015, 2016, 2023, 2024), two Mid-Season Invitational titles, and 10 LCK championships. At 28 years, 5 months, and 27 days when he won Worlds 2024, he became the oldest player to claim a World Championship title.

Current LCK Landscape

While T1 has secured a playoff berth, they trail league-leading Gen.G, who currently hold a dominant 23-1 record. The competitive balance in the middle of the standings keeps the playoff race interesting, with the LCK regular season concluding on August 31 before playoffs begin September 10.

Looking Ahead

As the defending world champions, T1 enters the final stretch of the regular season with momentum. Faker's 700-win milestone serves as a reminder of the sustained excellence that has defined not just his career, but an entire era of League of Legends esports.

With Worlds 2025 set for Chengdu, the question isn't whether Faker will add to his record collection, but rather how many more milestones he'll set before hanging up his keyboard.
