'Culinary Class Wars' Master of School Meals Miyoung Lee, 'Busy Life' Due to Unexpected Popularity
The behind-the-scenes story of 'Master of School Meals' Miyoung Lee, who showcased exceptional cooking skills on Netflix's popular cooking competition show 'Culinary Class Wars' has been revealed.
Miyoung Lee, who participated as a school meal chef with 15 years of experience, demonstrated impressive skills on the program. In particular, she proved her exceptional ability by winning a 2-0 score from the judges in a one-on-one competition against a 'silver spoon' chef.
Lee recently shared her current situation and behind-the-scenes stories through her YouTube channel. She stated, "I originally planned to travel quietly and relax after retirement, but (after the show) I've been extremely busy". This reflects the unexpected popularity she gained following her appearance on the program.
Interestingly, Miyoung Lee's YouTube channel was created by her son. Her son, Kang Na-ru (33) a freelance video director, happened to see a recruitment notice for cooking competition participants and encouraged his mother to participate.
Regarding the process of appearing on the program, Lee recalled, "I thought I wouldn't make it". However, she ultimately won the hearts of many viewers, and even chef Ahn Sung-jae, who was a judge, named her dish as the 'most delicious food' from the show.
Lee plans to continue communicating with her fans through her YouTube channel, including previewing the recipe for the black chicken stew she showcased during the one-on-one mission.
