BTS x BASTIONS

It was revealed on Friday that BTS will have their first group music release this year as they teamed up with a brand new animation series BASTIONS to sing its opening theme.

As of press time, not much info has been revealed for the full opening theme song. It's likely however that it will be released on or after the show's premiere date on May 14, 7:30 am KST on SBS.

The series follows a rookie team of heroes who takedown evil entities that are damaging the environment. The said heroes track down a mysterious hidden villain and it is up to them to protect the earth while they grow into true heroes.

Aside from BTS, BASTIONS' soundtrack will also feature songs from popular K-pop solo artists and groups like LE SSERAFIM, Brave Girls, Heize, Seo J, P.Cassady, and Kang Ming Seo.

Recently, BTS member J-Hope is scheduled to start his basic training on April 18. In order to get this training, the singer is enlisted for the New Recruit Training Center Division A in Gangwon-do. He will be the second BTS member to start his mandatory military service.

As of press time, a representative of Big Hit Music released a statement to the said report saying "Please understand that it is difficult to confirm j-hope's enlistment date and location."

The said training will last for 5 weeks, which will then proceed to permanent post as an active duty recruit.
