Actually, they do! But, their taste in Pizza is different from our usual ones that we try out. Pizza was introduced to Korean after the Korean war. Since its introduction, many pizza shops have been popping up since. Pizza Hut, the popular pizza chain established their first branch in South Korea in 1985. The hype of pizza grew over the years which made many locals to create their own version of the popular food.
What makes Korean-style pizzas stand out is that they play on the sweet taste palate. Similar to many of the popular Korean foods. While many others love the common toppings like pepperoni, meat, and mushrooms, Korean pizzas take it a step further by having lots of garlic, T-bone steak, bulgogi, and even Wagyu beef. Due to how stuffed and loaded these pizzas are, you actually don't need to get another meal as a few slices of these delicious pizzas are enough!
Similar case to popular pizza chains, Koreas are also fond of stuff crust pizzas. Some would fill in the crust with cheese, while other take it to the next level by adding meat or special sauces.
While Pizza is an easy takeaway food in the West, it's actually a different story in Korea as these can be expensive. This is due to the ingredients and some of the ingredients not locally available.
