Jake Gyllenhaal Shares Truth About Working With Jeniffer Aniston: 'It Was Torture'

Jake Gyllenhaal shares a secret he has been keeping for a while in his most recent interview with Howard Stern on the Howard Stern Show.

According to the actor, working with Jennifer Aniston was torture for him. The topic was discussed by both men after Stern asked Gyllenhaal how it was working with the actress on the set of 1992 'Good Girl'. The 'Donnie Darko' actor revealed without hesitation that it was torture.

The 40-year-old actor explained his answer saying that it was torture in a sense that he had a major real-life crush on the 'Friends' actress and that doing a love scene with her was torture. He then also expounded that the experience was also not torture due to the fact that it was for a movie and had a mechanical nature to it.

Due to love scenes in films having over 40-50 people on the set, Gyllenhaal claimed that it was not hard to hide his real feeling towards Jennifer Aniston.

"Weirdly, love scenes are awkward, because there are maybe 30, 50 people watching it? That doesn't turn me on. It's oddly mechanical. And also it's a dance, you're choreographing for a camera. You can get in it but it's like a fight scene, you have to choreograph those scenes," he shares during the interview.

Gyllenhaal then shared that Aniston gave him tips during their love-making scene for "Good Girl". Aniston advised him that putting a pillow under the hips would make things easier and more believable, which Gyllenhaal agreed on.

During the interview, he also revealed that he almost played Hansel in the cult favorite movie "Zoolander". The 2001 film, which stars Ben Stiller as supermodel Derek Zoolander had a best friend by the name of Hansel. In the movie, Hansel was played by Owen Wilson. Gyllenhaal shares that he missed out on the opportunity due to conflict in filming.
