'The Wendy Williams Show' Cancellation Rumors After Host Rushed To Hospital For Psychiatric Services
This week it was reported that talk show host Wendy Williams was apparently brought into the hospital for psychiatric evaluation. On Wednesday, the NYPD received a call regarding a 57-year-old female needing psychiatric assistance.
Wendy Williams was photographed being carried into an ambulance around the same time, and speculations have pointed out that the call was for her. According to an NYPD spokesperson, they did indeed get a call for a 57-year-old female need psychiatric service.
"There was a call for a 57-year-old non-violent female who needed psychiatric services at that address on Wednesday morning. They were transported to the hospital," the spokesperson revealed.
Although NYPD has yet to confirm if whether the woman was Wendy Williams, many believe that it was indeed the host. In the past months, Wendy Williams has canceled several appearances for her show.
An announcement made by the team from The Wendy Williams Show reveals that the talk show host was undergoing health evaluations and recently tested positive for COVID-19. Furthermore, no new episodes were taped instead reruns of the show were broadcast.
Now, the staff of the show reveals that they are freaking out regarding Wendy William's hospitalization. There are fears that the show might get canceled leaving many without jobs during this time.
The staff apparently was blindsided by the news, and are now panicking after hearing about what happened to their boss. "The staff has been back for weeks now anticipating to have the show return at the end of the month. Everyone is finding out what is happening in the news like everyone else." they added," a source close to Wendy told The Sun.
