NCT Dream: First SM Artist to Exceed 1 Million Albums Sold in a Week

NCT Dream's "Hot Sauce" is still hot as it continues to add more numbers to its more than million already sold copies of its comeback album in just one week.

On May 16, the comeback album of NCT Dream titled "Hot Sauce" has surpassed 1 million copies sold in just a week, according to Hanteo Chart. It was just launched on May 10 but look how fans have craved the septet's "Hot Sauce."

"Hot Sauce" has been the group's first full album and their much-anticipated comeback with 7 members. The album itself already has set new records for NCT Dream as soon as it exceeded 1.7 million stock pre-orders. This is a 243% increase compared to their last album, "Reload."

The "Reload" album consists of five songs in different categories, including "Ridin." The album itself carries the commitment and enthusiasm of NCT Dream to present the new stage with enhanced skills. 

NCT Dream's "Hot Sauce" sold over 1,007,000 copies in total, which became the 5th best and largest selling album in the first week. The comeback album established this record on the 7th day following its release and sold more than 63,600 copies on that day alone. 

NCT Dream members include Renjun, Jaemin, Jisung, Haechan, Jeno, Chenle, and Mark. iTeh comeback album, "Hot Sauce" is more special to the group because it's their first album as a whole group after Mark rejoins the group.

Before the album's release on May 10 at exactly 6 pm KST, NCT Dream hosted a media press conference. They also held a Comeback Show via Naver V LIVE NCT DREAM channel. This helps them get in touch with their fans around the world and at the same time, raise the expectation for the comeback.

To date, NCT Dream's "Hot Sauce" is ranked 5th, excelling BTS's "Love Yourself: Tear" by approximately more than 7,000 copies.
