BTS Jimin Proves ‘Brand King’ As He Sells Out Louis Vuitton Outfit
Jimin of BTS has once again shown the "Jimin Effect" after he sold out Louis Vuitton's sweatshirt and necklace that he wore on a teaser video released for a "You Quiz On The Block," a tvN variety show, episode on YouTube.
The teaser, which only lasted for 37 seconds, showed Jimin wearing a black sweatshirt and a necklace, together with the rest of his co- BTS members - who had always been on their best outfits, being introduced for the show. The teaser video also showed members goofing around that was filled with dancing and laughter.
Just within 24 hours of the release, the black "Inside Out Crewneck Sweatshirt" and "Friends Pendant Necklace," by luxury brand Louis Vuitton that Jimin was wearing, were sold out on its website in South Korea. The black sweatshirt costs $1368 USD, while the necklace costs $810 USD.
The "brand king," Jimin, has been known to sell out various outfits and products that they endorse before. Only recently, he also sold out the merchandise of VTS on the Weverse shop.
On March 16, Jimin also sold out his outfit consisting of a black "Love" Sweatshirt, which costs $67.13, with a green-colored "Zip-up Hoodie 01," which costs $82.70 USD after the episode of 133rd episode of their "Run BTS" show.
In November last year, Jimin made history as he became the first and only Korean idol to have the longest reign in the "Boy Group Member Individual Brand Reputation Ranking" for 23 consecutive months, 25 months in total. "BG Member Individual Brand Reputation Ranking" ranks K-Pop superstars on how well they sell the brands that they endorse.
Indeed, Jimin's oozing charisma and influence had always been radiating among their fans. That's why they were calling the phenomenon "Jimin Effect" or the "Jimin Impact."
Jimin was hailed as the "brand king" for some reason.
