Monsta X's I.M Solo EP Ranks Global Chart; GOT7's Bambam Signs New Label
Monsta X member I.M.'s all tracks in his first solo digital E.P. charted on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales Chart, according to the music media outlet's count for next week.
I.M. E.P.'s title track "God Damn" charted at number 9, and "Howlin," "Happy to Die," "Flower-ed," and "Burn" placed at number 17, 18, 20, and 21, respectively.
The Monsta X member's E.P. named "Duality," charted to the top of iTunes worldwide albums chart during its debut in February, whipping out albums including Coldplay, Ariana Grande, and Adele.
The E.P. "Duality" was described in a press statement as a project that "depicts [his] intense inner confessions [and] the difference between the outside and inside of one's thoughts and mind."
The rapper partook in writing and arranging all five tracks on the album, his first E.P. since his debut six years ago. I.M. has been writing all of the raps for the band Monsta X consequently far and has put out a cord of mixtapes.
Meanwhile, on the other news, GOT7 member Bambam has found a new label.
Abyss Company confirmed the deal on Friday, "We're delighted to establish connections with Bambam, an artist with explosive potential."
He will debut his career as a solo artist. The agency said that they would help him grow further as a global K-pop artist and lead him in every possible way to establish his talent not just in music but in the whole entertainment industry.
Bambam, a Thai native, started as a member of the seven-piece act in 2014 and is respected for his stunning presentations and amiable personality.
He will join other musicians at Abyss with the contract, including Sunmi, Urban Zakapa, and Park Won.
The GOT7 boy band did not renew their contract with JYP Entertainment when it expired early this year. Youngjae went to Sublime Artist Agency, Yugyeom recently signed with AOMG, and Jinyoung has joined B.H. Entertainment.
