BTS Jungkook Holds Record Of Having #1 And #2 Longest-Charting K-pop Solo Songs On Billboard Chart
BTS's Jungkook has been revealed to be the only Korean male idol to hold the record of having a number 1 and number 2 longest-charting solo K-pop song on the Billboard Charts.
The charismatic singer of k-pop group Bangtan Boys released solo songs "Euphoria" and "My Time," which immediately became number 1 and number 2 on the US Billboard Charts. Unexpectedly, despite the songs being released for months now, they are still charting.
Just this week on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales, both "Euphoria" and "My Time" are charting at number 11 and number 12, respectively.
According to reports, "Euphoria" is the longest-charting K-pop solo song on the chart, having charted for over 54 weeks now, while Jungkook's other solo song, "My Time," is the second longest-charting single, which has been on the Billboard list for 51 weeks.
Both these singles have also been announced as the best-selling songs, number 1 and number 2, respectively, on Amazon's all song categories.
With the success that Jungkook is receiving for his singles, it is no question that his first mixtape, "JJK1," will also be a success.
Recently, the handsome singer joined the host of "BE-hind Story" to talk about his newest venture with his mixtape. According to Jungkook, the mixtape is an experiment of his, and that the song is quite different from what the fans would usually expect.
According to him, he is not so sure about the reception of "JJK1," but he hopes that it will be very good. He confesses that he will never know unless he actually puts it out there.
He even revealed that fellow BTS Member V helped him get into the zone of being more accepting of his flaws, as he is a perfectionist when it comes to his music.
"I've told [V] about this too, but you need to come up with something first to know what my shortcomings are, and it's also important to realize, 'Oh, this doesn't work for me," Jungkook told the host of "BE-hind Story."
