Viral: 'Star Wars' Fans' Lightsaber Winter Duel Astounds Netizens
The lightsaber in the "Star Wars" franchise has become a valuable weapon in the story, and fans are getting their lightsaber since units of the lightsaber can easily be purchased from various stores around the globe.
It has been offering fans the opportunity to feel like their favorite Jedi or Smith and adapting their fighting styles. This has resulted in many fan-made lightsaber battles that trended online, including this new one that went viral on Facebook.
Anghelie Elizabeth posted a video of a winter lightsaber battle that went viral across several social media platforms. Since the video is captured from a distance, it seems that it is actual Jedis who are battling with lightsabers. The two "Star Wars" fans are engaged in a dramatic battle while in snowy conditions.
Star Wars are tagging their friends on Facebook to see the video. Netizens are also abuzz on Twitter. @107Prospector wrote, "Snow lightsaber battle -- hopefully these two won't be playing their own lightsabers forever."
It has always been thrilling to watch lightsaber fights in the "Star Wars" films. Oftentimes, these duels are even more intense than the one in the video. According to Nick Gillard, a Star Wars stunt coordinator, one of the best lightsaber fight sequences is on "Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith."
Nick Gillard said, "It was the most complicated fight we ever did, and George [Lucas] said, 'I'm really sorry, I'm going to drop a container on five of them!'"
There are new franchises of the Lucasfilm creation to be unveiled, including the recent "High Republic" publishing initiative, with a lightsaber inspired by King Arthur's Excalibur.
"When designing Stellan's lightsaber, I looked at the iconic lightsabers that have already been established," Jeff R. Thomas, illustration manager at Disney Publishing, said in an interview.
He added he needed a weapon "that could stand beside the other famous lightsabers," but what would be distinct to evoke the time period of the High Republic on Star Wars, which is where Excalibur came from. No official details on the appearance of the Excalibur have been revealed.
