Nick Jonas Graces 'Saturday Night Live,' He Is Also Returning To 'The Voice' Season 20
Nick Jonas, one of the Jonas Brothers, has introduced his new singles on the February 27th episode of "Saturday Night Live."
The 28-year-old singer was hilarious as he pulled a double-duty as "SNL" host and musical guest while launching his new songs "Spaceman and "This Is Heaven." "SNL" is a sketch comedy and variety show on NBC.
It is also his first performance of "Spaceman," categorized to be a cosmic rhythmic song that has the theme of the fear of isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic. His performance was surrounded by bright lights with a futuristic theme and background that reminds the audience of space shuttle control panels, plus the "Saturday Night Live" music band.
His brother, Kevin Jonas, also made a funny appearance, introducing Nick Jonas for his second song, "This Is Heaven." The singer debuted the song wearing a velvety orange suit.
His two new singles will appear in the upcoming album titled "Spaceman," scheduled to arrive on March 12th under Island Records. The 11-track set is his first solo release since "Nick Jonas" in 2014, which clinched the number six spot on Billboard 200.
Meanwhile, for the fans who are asking why Nick Jonas and his wife Priyanka Chopra are not at the 2021 Golden Globe awards, Elle noted they are not nominated for any film, nor tapped to be among the presenters, so they did not have to be there.
The 20th season of "The Voice" is also returning tonight, with Nick Jonas returning in the judging panel. He will join Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton, and John Legend.
"It's eased the tension. It has eased the tension," Blake Shelton stated, in reference to the injury he experienced last season. "I think across the board, fans of the show, other coaches, everybody kind of saw it coming. So, it saved my Christmas."
