Miss Universe Engages The Candidates In Virtual Fashion Week
The Miss Universe Organization has posted a video on their official YouTube page, asking selected contestants what they will wear at fashion week. Worldwide, the fall and winter collections are being unveiled this season in fashion shows in Milan, New York, and Paris.
"We asked Miss Universe delegates what they'd wear to fashion week. Whose look was your favorite? (emoji)," the Miss Universe video caption stated.
Selected delegates in the video titled "FASHION WEEK!" included Australia's Maria Thattil, Italy's Viviana Vizzini, Thailand's Amanda Obdam, Czech Republic's Klára Vavrušková, Finland's Viivi Altonen, South Africa's Natasha Joubert, and more.
The delegates were wearing their chosen outfits and styles, showcasing them in the video.
Romania's Bianca Lorena Tirsin pulled her printed outfit out of her closet, saying, "I have this special dress made for me by my favorite designer."
"Starting with the rose red boots, a feminine but energetic color highlights female empowerment as the base and support of women," said Leyla Espinoza of Ecuador, strutting her strapless top, white trousers, and red blazer, among other pieces.
Each of the chosen delegates in the video presented their outfits, including Vietnam's Nguyễn Trần Khánh Vân wearing white as it represents "purity, new beginning, and positive energy."
Previously, the Miss Universe Organization also featured selected candidates in a video that has them greeting their fans with a Happy New Year. Contestants chosen for the New Year clip were the delegates from Bahamas, Curacao, Venezuela, Australia, Cayman Islands, India, Canada, and so much more.
The upcoming edition of the Miss Universe pageant is slated to be conducted this May 16th, after the organization reportedly released an email to pageant national directors revealing the schedule. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, fewer ladies will compete, and the pageant will be held following health protocols. South Africa's Zozibini Tunzi will crown her successor at the event.
