Are You The Next BTS? Big Hit Entertainment Searching For The Next Big K-Pop Group, Audition Today!
Big Hit Entertainment, the talent company behind sensational K-pop boy band BTS, is conducting a global audition program to find the next big K-Pop act.
The entertainment label manages South Korean artists, including TXT and soloists Lee Hyun, RM, August D, and J-Hope.
Earlier during the previous week, Korea Portal reported that Big Hit Entertainment is partnering with worldwide music company Universal Music Group to launch the newest K-Pop group that fans will love.
"Big Hit Entertainment, the label that manages BTS and TOMORROW X TOGETHER, is now looking for individuals with talent and passion who will be the next global superstar. Big Hit Entertainment supports you in striving for your dreams," the company said in its official statement on their auditions website.
The label is also working together on VenewLive, an Internet-based streaming platform that BTS utilizes for its online performances.
Big Hit Entertainment's chief executive officer Lenzo Yoon said this would bring the "success formula" of the entertainment company to the United States, as they present the new and to be chosen boy group "active on the global stage."
The company will manage the screening of the candidates, their training, and the updates for the fans on Weverse. Meanwhile, their partner, Universal Music Group, will take care of "music production, global distribution, and producing the audition program with U.S. media partners."
The global auditions are slated to air on U.S. television. However, both the companies will yet make the official confirmation on which media outlet will broadcast the auditions. Speculations on the media are saying it will be inspired by "American Idol," the reality talent search in the United States that follows the journey of auditionees to performances and to the winning moment where the winner signs a recording contract.
