Song Kang Is A Ballet Dancer In tvN's New Drama, 'Navillera'

South Korean actor Song Kang has impressed worldwide audiences in his stellar performance in "Love Alarm" and "Sweet Home." This time, he is taking on a new yet challenging role in the upcoming drama on tvN titled "Navillera." What will his portrayal be? 

Soompi recently reported Song Kang would portray the role of a ballet dancer, Chae Rok, who begins dancing the genre later in life but wows everyone with his talent. 

Based on the webtoon that tells about a man who begins dancing ballet at the age of 70 and a younger ballet dancer who wants to chase his dreams, "Navillera" is about those who want to pursue their dreams as life only goes around once. 

The producers of the upcoming drama on tvN said, "Song Kang is pulling off the character of Chae Rok flawlessly, as though the character from the webtoon has come to life. We're confident that [Chae Rok] will become the role of a lifetime for Song Kang. Please look forward to 'Navillera' and ballerino Song Kang."

On Instagram, Song Kang has likewise given fans the preview of his ballet shoes in the upcoming drama. 

His character, Chae Rok, possesses talent as a ballet performer while struggling in the realities of life that make it difficult for him to snag his dreams. He stumbled upon Duk Chool, who will pave the way for him to change a lot of things in his life. He will be portrayed by Park In-hwan. 

The production team released glimpses of his character, showing Song Kang exuding grace and poise as a gifted ballet dancer. He portrays the determination of his character, Chae Rok, well while hinting at the struggles he has to face in his youth. 

"Navillera" is bound to showcase its pilot episode this March 22nd. Are you looking forward to this upcoming drama?
