aespa Giselle's Close Friend In Japan Clarifies Rumors About Her
A user known as Rose Imai on an online community forum claimed to be a childhood friend of aespa's Giselle. She claimed that they were friends and defended the aespa member from nasty rumors about her.
On the online community forum, a user asked whether any other user knew a k-pop idol on a personal level.
Last Tuesday, February 2, Rose Imai, coming from Japan, revealed that she and Giselle were friends. She then proceeded to show a photo of them together during their high school graduation. Rose Imai then told the readers that the image came directly from her camera roll. However, versions of the image with the face of Giselle covered had already been circulating on the internet.
Answering the question, Rose Imai said she wanted to respond to the question because she wanted to debunk all the vicious rumors involving Giselle. Although she had not given any specific detail about which controversy, she said they grew up very close.
Rose Imai further stated that Giselle was one of the nicest people she had ever met. Because of that, she does not deserve all the defamation she received. She then added that she hates the fact that people created negative rumors having no proof and were judging Giselle based only on her looks.
Clarifying the rumors, Rose Imai stated that aespa's Giselle does not have a shady past. She confirmed that Giselle used to hang out with friends, as a typical teenager would, but she denied that Giselle smoked, did drugs, and bullied anybody. Rose Imai revealed that Giselle worked hard to be where she is today.
Giselle cut ties with many of her friends in Japan when she moved to South Korea. Rose Imai claimed that one friend of Giselle took it badly and started the rumors.
Just months after Giselle debuted as a member of aespa, images of her as a student resurfaced. Many claimed that Giselle's life was a mess and that she did all terrible things, from smoking to drugs. According to the rumors, Giselle also tried to erase her dirty past. However, to Rose Imai, all these are not true.
