Dahyun and Chaeyoung in "Switch to Me" Parody

Last February 7, Dahyun and Chaeyoung dropped a funny teaser for their Melody Project. It showed the two TWICE members channeling their inner Park Jin Young and Rain as they imitate the intro of the two idols' track "Switch to Me."

Dahyun and Chaeyoung's version of "Switch to Me" has already been released and can be viewed on YouTube. However, an issue has arisen regarding the content of the parody video that JYP Entertainment has quickly addressed.

JYP Entertainment has announced an official apology concerning the attire in TWICE members Dahyun and Chaeyoung's new Melody Project video.

Last February 10, the two members of TWICE released a parody of "Switch to Me" by Rain and Park Jin Young. It was for their latest Melody Project video. Quickly thereafter, BLACKPINK's stylist posted a screenshot of the video on her Instagram story. She was shocked to see an outfit that looks so similar to one she custom-designed.

Many speculate that she was referring to the hanbok outfit seen in TWICE's video and its similarities with that of the hanbok she had made for the music video of BLACKPINK's "How You Like That." For those who don't know, hanbok is the traditional two-piece clothing worn in Korea.

Because of that, JYP Entertainment issued an apology to the designer regarding the said matter. They explained that the hanbok in question, from Dahyun and Chaeyoung's Melody Project video, was bought from a hanbok company. Furthermore, they said that they did not properly inspect the similarities. They promised to be more careful next time to avoid the same incident from occurring again.

As JYP Entertainment was quick to address the issue, fans can only hope for the problem to be resolved immediately. It may ruin the kpop experience for both the fans of the two girl groups.
