Kang Tae Oh Shares Thoughts About Sooyoung And His Character In 'Run On'

Kang Tae Oh talked about his thoughts on the drama "Run On," which ended recently on February 4.

"Run On" is a drama about people connecting with each other using their unique languages after living in different worlds.

Shin Se Kyung portrays Oh Mi Joo, a foreign film translator. Im Siwan plays Ki Sun Kyum, a former track and field athlete who retired after his life changed. Then there's Girls' Generation's Sooyoung as Seo Dan Ah, a sports agency CEO, and Kang Tae Oh as an art student Lee Young Hwa.

Kang Tae Oh met Sooyoung for the first time on the drama "Run On," which, according to him, was an honor. In the show, the two have a romance going on. Kang Tae Oh's previous roles were of someone who has crushes and one-sided loves. But since his role in this drama is the opposite, he felt more excited rather than pressure.

According to Kang Tae Oh, Sooyoung helped him a lot, from reading through the script to analyzing their characters. He said that Sooyoung gave him a better understanding of things he did not know. And because Sooyoung also thought of her co-star's character, he said she could improve the scene much better.

When asked about his similarities with Young Hwa, he said he was like him 58 percent. Apparently, Kang Tae Oh can be shy. Although he is friendly, like his character, he cannot approach someone first, especially someone he meets for the first time. According to him, he only gets energetic towards someone after they got close.

Kang Tae Oh chose to appear on the drama "Run On" because he thought the chemistry was fun and the stories were relatable. He was also interested in the characters' chemistry, their relationships, and the atmosphere.

When asked about his goals for this year, he said he tends to make short-term ones. He does not think for the whole year, but instead, his current goals are things like having fun on the next project and loving it, and also not getting a cold.
