2020 MAMA: These KPop Acts Will Join BTS, Song Joong Ki, TWICE, MAMAMOO, SEVENTEEN, MONSTA X And More
The 2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards (2020 MAMA) is just around the corner and fans are very much thrilled to know this year's winners. The ceremony, with the theme "NEW-TOPIA," will not have in-person audience due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Recently, 2020 MAMA released the names of its next lineup of performers. It announced that ENHYPEN, Cravity, ATEEZ, (G) IDLE, Stray Kids, The Boyz and Oh My Girl will be performing in its forthcoming 22nd awarding ceremony.
Earlier this month, event organizer CJ E&M, through its music channel Mnet, confirmed the appearance of some of South Korea's most popular acts to grace in the said event, including BTS, SEVENTEEN, NCT, TWICE and IZ*ONE. It, also, added GOT7, TREASURE, TXT, MONSTA X, MAMAMOO, and JO1 to the list of performers.
There are rumors that BLACKPINK could perform in the imminent 2020 MAMA event. However, no confirmation from the organizers have been released up to this writing. On the other hand, it was confirmed that Song Joong Ki will be hosting the much-anticipated event.
Fans will be able to watch the red carpet and ceremony proper of the 2020 MAMA on YouTube, V Live and mwave.me. It will, also, be available for viewing on JOOX in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Myanmar. 2020 MAMA will also be aired in Sri Lanka via tVN Asia, Philippines via Gigafest by Smart Communications, Taiwan via FET Friday video, Japan via Mnet Smart and Mnet Japan, Sub-Saharan Africa via tvN Asia and South Korea via Mnet and TVING.
EXO, GOT7, NCT, MONSTA X, BTS and Seventeen are all vying for the Best Male Group award while BLACKPINK, TWICE, Red Velvet, Mamamoo, IZ*ONE and Oh My Girl were nominated for the Best Female Group. For the complete list of nominees, click here.
