Here's The Song That Dethroned 'Dynamite' From Korean Charts
BTS' all-English song "Dynamite" has been breaking records here and there, topping the Billboards charts and Melon. But a new song has come to dethrone it, and many people are actually surprised because it is not from a popular group at all. It is not even their own song "Life Goes On".
After so many weeks being number one in Melon, "Dynamite" has been dethroned by the song "VVS". The song is performed by Miranni, Munch Man, Khundi Panda, Mushvenom featuring JUSTHIS and produced by Groovyroom. For those who are unfamiliar with them, they are all from the popular reality TV show "Show Me The Money", which is currently airing its ninth season on Mnet. The show is all about hip-hop artists, mostly underground ones who compete to be crowned the winner. The show has been a stepping stone for many unknown artists to become more popular and gain more fans.
Previous winners of past seasons include Loco, BewhY, and Nafla. Some idol rappers also try their luck in the show. Some have succeeded, like iKON's Bobby who emerged as the winner of season 2, and WINNER's Song Mino, who was a runner up in season 3. This season, some idol rappers also tried their luck, including Changbin from Stray Kids. Unfortunately, he was not able to go far in the competition.
Meanwhile, despite losing first place in the Melon Charts, BTS fans will have a reason to rejoice. BTS just made history by becoming the first Kpop group to be nominated for a major award in the Grammys.
