Song Joong-ki $11M Mansion Demolished After Divorce, Building New Home
Actors Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo divorced last year after less than two years of marriage. Reports suggest that their mansion in Seoul, which they purchased for $11.6 million USD, was demolished.
Although destroyed, the signage on the property still indicates the owner of the land to be Song Joong-ki. A rebuilding permit was issued months ago on the estate and rebuilding began last month.
According to AllKpop, a new house will be built featuring 3 basement floors, and 2 above ground floors. The construction is projected to finish by June 2021.
According to a report from Style, Song Joong-ki recently purchased a luxury condominium in Hawaii that he may use as a vacation home. The value, according to the same report, suggests that the property is worth $2.8 million USD.
Like many these days, Song Joong-ki is spending his time indoors in quarantine and back in Korea. Filming on his upcoming film, "Bogota," filmed on-location in Colombia, paused due to the global outbreak of COVID-19.
