BTS Gets Close To South Korean President Moon Jae In + Leads October Boy Band Brand Reputation Ranking

Korean boy group sensation BTS has finally met the leader of their country but not in South Korean soil. President Moon Jae In and the "Mic Drop" singers shook hands and shared hugs during the recent Korea-France Friendship Concert in Paris.

BTS performed in the event which aims to promote a friendly relation between their country and France. Both President Moon Jae In and First Lady Kim Jung Sook attended the concert. BTS performed their hit singles "DNA" and "IDOL" while the first lady was seen singing along while the band sing and dance their latest hit song.

"It is our honor to be able to participate in a meaningful event like this in Paris," BTS said after their performance.

After the concert, President Moon shook hands with the performers, including BTS, and exchanged hugs with members V and Jungkook. Both President Moon and the first lady also took a couple of photos along with Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. Jin and Jungkook also asked for Moon's autograph.

The septet earlier met South Korea First Lady Kim Jung Sook at the United Nations General Assembly when the boys took the stage and spoke about loving and speaking for oneself. The group also received from the first lady the limited edition commemorative watches with the president's name engraved on them. Moon earlier congratulated BTS for their success at the Billboard charts.

Both the South Korean president and BTS are both currently in their respective Europe tours. Moon attended the Korea-France Friendship Concert and will also meet with French president Emmanuel Macron. He is set to stay in France for four days before traveling to Italy, Belgium, and Copenhagen.

BTS, on the other hand, is on the Europe leg of their Love Yourself world tour. The boys are set to perform in Berlin on October 16 and 17 before heading back to Paris for concerts on October 19 and 20.

Meanwhile, BTS has topped the boy group brand reputation ranking one again. The October ranking has been released, and the Bangtan Boys emerged on the top spot for the fifth consecutive month.

The analysis of over 72 million data of participation, media coverage, interaction, and community indexes was done from September 12 to October 13. BTS took the No. 1 spot with a total brand reputation score of over 12.3 million indexes.

"Performance," "London," and "UN," are words that ranked high for BTS's keyword analysis, while "Happy," "Love," and "Thankful" ranked high for their link analysis. The positivity-negativity analysis of the band showed 79.10 percent positive reactions.

Wanna One took the second spot with almost 7.4 million indexes. EXO jumped one spot higher and took the third place with a total brand reputation score of almost 4.5 million indexes.
