EXO's Sehun & gugudan's Mina's Web Film 'Dokgo Rewind' Premiere Date, Plot, Cast, & More

The web film which stars EXO member Sehun and gugudan's Mina will finally premiere next month. Dokgo Rewind is set to drop on September 7 and it will be available in a couple of web platforms.

There is a high expectation for the film adaptation of the popular webtoon as it features EXO idol Sehun in the lead role as Kang Hyuk and gugudan member Mina, portraying Kim Hyun Sun. Ahn Bo Hyun (Pyo Tae Jin), and Cho Byung Kyu (Kim Jong Il) will also appear in the web film.

Dokgo Rewind follows the story of the three boys who have lived different lives but come together to fight school violence. Kang Hyuk seeks revenge on a school gang for his older brother who died from violence in school. He will also develop a friendship with former wrestler Tae Jin and Jong Il who is trying to leave his school gang days behind.

The new action web film is a prequel to the popular webtoon series Dokgo which amasses about five million views every week. It also earns about 2.3 billion won ($2 million) in total sales. Dokgo Rewind is expected to add more depth to the Dokgo universe with its action-packed scenes, great storyline, and powerful cast lineup.

Media content platform oksusu SK earlier shared a teaser video for Dokgo Rewind and it shows Sehun in an intense fight scene with a group of men. He rides a motorcycle and jumps into a fight and kicks and punches down some members of a gang. Dokgo Rewind will be available on Kakao Page and oksusu starting on September 7. Watch the clip below.

This is not the first web drama for EXO member Sehun. He previously appeared 2015 web series EXO Next Door along with bandmates Chanyeol, D.O, and Baekhyun. But Dokgo Rewind marks Sehun's first time playing a lead role in a film.

He also recently appeared in Netflix's Busted! and in web drama Secret Queen Makers along with fellow K-pop idols EXO's Chanyeol, Super Junior's Leeteuk, and 2PM's Chansung. Sehun will be seen next in another web series, titled Dear Archimedes. The upcoming K-drama is scheduled to be released next year.

As for gugudan member Mina, she was recently introduced as one of the three members of gugudan sub-unit SEMINA. She was also cast to play an important role in the upcoming TV series Gyeryong Goddess. The fantasy/comedy show is set to air on tvN in November 2018.
