BLACKPINK Postpones ‘Running Man’ Appearance, Big Bang’s Seungri Becomes Honorary Member
An unexpected incident that happened to the Running Man star Ji Suk Jin's family forced showrunners to move BLACKPINK's recording activities for the show. Meanwhile, the K-pop girl group recently unveiled a dance clip that included the special appearance of Big Bang's Seungri.
News of the death of Ji Suk Jin's father surprised many of the said South Korean star's friends and fans. The Running Man cast member's father has been battling a chronic illness and passed away on June 21.
Given the unfortunate incident, many of Ji Suk Jin's work commitments were rescheduled. Some of the former singer's friends even pitched in to take over hosting responsibilities for the said TV personality's radio show. Running Man showrunners even decided to postpone the show's upcoming recording activities.
Initially scheduled on June 25, BLACKPINK was set to participate in the SBS variety show's filming activities. At this time, the timelines for the revised recording schedule have yet to be announced. Moreover, it is still unclear who among the four-member K-pop girl group will be able to join Running Man cast members Kim Jong Kook, Haha, Song Ji Hyo, Lee Kwang Soo, Ji Suk Jin, Yoo Jae Suk, Jeon So Min and Yang Se Chan as they complete a new mission.
Amidst news of the "As If It's Your Last" crooners' postponed appearance in Running Man, BLACKPINK unveiled a quick video that showed a collaborative dance number with Big Bang band member Seungri. Posted on Instagram, the clip showcased Seungri's dancing skills as he performed to the beat of "DDU-DU DDU-DU."
Perfectly mimicking Ji Soo, Jennie, Rose and Lisa as they swayed to said hit track, several netizens praised the Big Bang singer for his performance. The K-pop male idol even donned a wig to make him appear as an honorary BLACKPINK member.

BLACKPINK is set to participate in several TV shows in the coming weeks. Apart from Running Man, the South Korean group will also make a guest appearance on the JTBC show Idol Room.
