Ahead of SHINee's 10th-anniversary celebration later this month, the band has opened pre-orders for their official light stick. Choi Min-ho, Lee Taemin, Onew, and Key earlier announced that they will be releasing a comeback album very soon to celebrate their first decade in the entertainment industry.

The group's first official light stick closely resembles the previous merch that was used in the Shinee World V tour last year and in Japan earlier this year. The old light stick features a substantial diamond-shaped ring and glows mint blue or green in the dark. Inside the diamond is a star symbol. The bottom part has a hole which can be used as a key ring.

SHINee has upgraded the old design and color. The new fan light looks like a microphone. It has a mic-liked handle, but the diamond-shaped top doesn't change. The launch of the new fan light is perfect as SHINee's upcoming comeback album is titled The Story of Light.

Aside from the light stick, SHINee also offers other fan meeting goods that will only be available for purchase on-site during the upcoming fan meeting. Among the items are eco-bags, t-shirts, handy fans, key rings, bracelets, and more.

The pre-sale of the new light stick and other merchandise will start on May 23 at 2 p.m. KST. It is in time for the band's scheduled fan meeting, called "SHINee Day," on May 27 at the Korea University in Seoul. Korean pop artists have been known for having their official light sticks which fans can bring during a concert, fan meets, and in other events.

The new SHINee lightstick came after SM Entertainment also unveiled the new fan light for its other talents TVQX and NCT. The agency upgraded the old design of light sticks of both acts. The new TVXQ official fanlight has red, star-shaped design while the NCT group's logo is designed in neon green squared head with a white stick handle.

Meanwhile, SHINee is set to release their very first album without Jonghyun. The K-pop group's three-part album The Story of Light is their very first LP as a four-piece boy band. Jonghyun passed away in December 2017. SHINee recently dropped their Japanese single, "From Now on," which posthumously featured Jonghyun.

SHINee also released an MV teaser for the lead track "Good Evening" off of The Story of Light EP 1. The EP is slated for release on May 28 at 6 p.m. KST. It will be followed by The Story of Light EP 2 on June 11. The last edition, The Story of Light EP 3, will be available on June 25. Each EP has its title track and four other songs for a total of 15 tracks.
