‘Tokyo Ghoul:re’ Chapter 172 Spoilers: Donato Porpora Survives Amon’s Attack, Reveals True Strength

Tokyo Ghoul:re Chapter 172 spoilers predict a reversal in the fight between Amon and Donato Porpora. While the previous installment seems to portray Amon to have the upper hand, there are predictions that he won't be able to maintain this advantage for long.

Amon In Trouble

In Tokyo Ghoul:re Chapter 171, which is already available for online reading on sites such as MangaStream, Amon seemed to hold the advantage over Donato Porpora. In the last panel, he unleashed a Doujima attack in the form of a cross which proved to be devastating enough to destroy almost half of Donato's torso.

However, Tokyo Ghoul:re Chapter 172 spoilers from Nerds4Life hint that the attack, no matter how devastating it might have appeared, will only give Amon a temporary advantage. The publication predicts that Donato Porpora will be able to recover from the setback and, eventually, turn the tables on his opponent by showing his true strength.

Donato's sudden level up will put Amon in a risky situation that he may need assistance to survive. While Takizawa is nearby, it does not mean that he will voluntarily aid Amon due to his grudge against the latter. Ultimately, Amon's survival will depend on Takizawa; if Takizawa intervenes, then he will survive. Otherwise, Amon will probably perish in this fight.

Kaneki Goes Deeper Into Oviduct

Kaneki will continue to venture deeper into the Oviduct in search for the source. But it won't be a smooth sailing task for him as Furuta is bound to give him a hard time. However, Tokyo Ghoul:re Chapter 172 might not focus on Kaneki at the moment as it will likely showcase the intense fight between Amon and Donato.

There are also speculations that Tokyo Ghoul:re Chapter 172 might continue to cover the conflict between Uta and Yomo. While Uta might have been defeated, he is predicted to remain unyielding. However, it's hard to imagine how Uta will be able to continue his fight considering that he is already injured and can't even walk.

Tokyo Ghoul: re Chapter 172 may not be released as scheduled next week due to Japan's Golden Week, according to comments on Manga Helpers. The upside is that, when the manga returns the week after, fans will be treated to a double issue.
