Momoland News: Yeonwoo Swallows Bug While Performing On Stage
Momoland fans may want to hang on first before the girl group's show goes on since one of the members seem to be experiencing some sort of bug. A literal bug, causing her to run off the stage during one of their concert performances to address the issue.
The said member of Momoland is none other than Yeonwoo, and she accidentally swallowed a bug while dancing and singing to one of their live songs. Yeonwoo was able to finish the current performance but could not endure another second on the stage since she appeared to be struggling with the insect.
This happened during Momoland's performance at the 2018 Uiwang Railway Festival. Yeonwoo and the rest of the group were performing their song "Jjan! Koong! Kwang!" when the unfortunate incident happened. Everything was going along fine for the group until the bug showed up.
It is not clear what insect it was, but the Momoland member seemed to have choked on it for a while, trying to spit out the bug, though it appears that she was not able to eject the insect and needed some assistance. Hence, Yeonwoo ran off the stage. Other members of the group can even be seen trying to help Yeonwoo and asking her if she was alright, to which Yeonwoo responded, "bugs" with a grimace.
Thankfully, Momoland and Yeonwoo's fans were quite supportive and even applauded her professionalism while performing on the stage since she did not let the bug ruin her and her group's performance, though it must have been really bothersome and even painful to have accidentally swallowed a bug. It appears the bug was still alive after Yeonwoo had swallowed it based on her reactions and struggling.
Meanwhile, despite the apparent bug intent on sabotaging their performance, Momoland has not experienced many obstacles on their way to the top of the charts. As of now, they have joined the exclusive ranks of legendary K-Pop artists such as PSY, BIGBANG, Girls' Generation, Super Junior, 2NE1, EXO, BTS, f(x), TWICE, GOT7, 4minute, BLACKPINK, and Red Velvet. As for Yeonwoo, hopefully, she recovers from the bug without much of a problem.
