‘One Piece’ Episode 836 Spoilers: Big Mom’s Childhood, Connection Wih Mother Caramel

With Big Mom weakened, Bege and his men are already preparing to launch their killing attack. However, fans will not likely see the launch of the poisoned KX launchers in One Piece Episode 836 as the next installment will be devoted to exploring to Linlin's mysterious past as well as her connection to the equally enigmatic Mother Caramel.

One Piece Episode 835 Recap: Big Mom Finally Reacts

Big Mom's scream is crucial to the plan concocted by Bege because it is only during her screaming that the allied forces will have some sort of advantage over Big Mom's troops. By wearing a simple earplug,  they will be able to move unhindered while their enemies will not be able to move due to the oppressive effects of the Yonko's scream.

However, Big Mom did not react at all even with the destruction of both the wedding cake and Mother Caramel's portrait. Bege was able to deduce that perhaps the Yonko experienced too many shocking events in quick succession, thereby giving her no time to process one particular event at all. This resulted in her almost hypnotized state; Big Mom was seen walking aimlessly as if lost in thought.

The only way for the Yonko to really go mad with rage and, hopefully, start screaming is if she could be made to just focus on one particular thing that will distress her. It then became Luffy's task to bring the broken pieces of Mother Caramel's picture to the Yonko's face and force her to feel angry over the broken portrait.

Given his power of being able to see a little bit into the future, Katakuri tried his best to stop Luffy by using his versatile mochi-based ability. But Luffy eventually shoved the broken pieces of Mother Caramel's photo into Big Mom's face which resulted in her screaming in rage.

This is exactly what Bege and the team wanted. With earplugs protecting them from the Yonko's sonic assault, they were able to do as planned. Sanji and a few Straw Hats were able to free the Vinsmokes while Bege and his men were getting ready to attack with the KX launchers, which contain a deadly poison specifically concocted by Caesar Clown to take down Big Mom.

However, all that will not happen in One Piece Episode 836. In the next episode, the anime's plot will basically be one big flashback as the storyline explores Big Mom's distant past on a land called Elbaf.

A One Piece Episode 836 preview is already available, and it gave hints on some of the key points in the upcoming installment. Fans can expect to learn more about what Linlin's childhood was like and offer some explanation as to why Mother Caramel's picture means so much to her. One interesting thing in the preview is that Linlin's destructive tendencies were already there even as a child.
