'Running Man' Update: Ji Suk Jin, Song Ji Hyo Tried To Invite Jin, BTS Member Revealed 'Filming Something'

On the Sunday episode of Running Man, Ji Suk Jin and Song Ji Hyo tried their best to have BTS' Jin on the show to win a challenge. The two MCs were on a mission to have the series' youngest and oldest guests make an appearance once again.

According to Soompi, there was a competition on Running Man, and Ji Suk Jin and Song Ji Hyo were paired to create another "content rating clip" that had been done before. As they had to have a guest star, the two thought of a famous celebrity to come to the show. Then, the 52-year-old comedian thought of BTS' Jin.

Ji Suk Jin and Song Ji Hyo were considering Running Man's rule about the "zero points" competitors would receive if they cast oldest or youngest guests; thus, they wanted to invite a K-pop idol. Hence, Jin was the best option they had. Fortunately, Ji Suk Jin and the BTS member are good friends in real life. In fact, he even bragged of their closeness.

As Ji Suk Jin phoned Jin and the latter answered right away, the two couldn't help to show their excitement. Song Ji Hyo even sang a line of the BTS' hit song "Blood, Sweat & Tears" and excited to say "hi" to him. The moment Jin learned he was on Running Man, he greeted the show's viewers and felt honored his voice was heard on the show.

"Hello viewers of Running Man, I am Jin from BTS," he said. He even revealed he and the video presenter are good friends. "My name is Kim Seokjin and I've been keeping a close friendship with Ji Suk Jin due to our same name," he added.

When Ji Suk Jin asked where he was, Jin then revealed he was filming something at Gwangju with his fellow BTS members. He asked him again if he was in Korea, to which he responded yes and told him to just call him whenever he wants to see him.

Ji Suk Jin took advantage of the moment and asked Jin if he had the time to see him and Song Ji Hyo at the time. "Today? This suddenly?" he asked surprisingly. Unfortunately, he couldn't make an appearance on Running Man that day because of his busy schedule. However, fans still expect he and the whole BTS members could return to the show someday.
