Fans of South Korean actor Park Min Woo were shocked to learn that the K-drama star had been involved in a motorcycle accident recently. It was revealed that Park underwent a major head surgery due to the accident.

Lee's agency, King Kong Entertainment, confirmed that the actor got into an accident last month. The company said Lee has been in the hospital since and currently recovering from a head surgery. King Kong assures Lee's fans that the actor is now in better shape. He will be moved to a general ward in the coming days.

"Park Min Woo underwent major surgery and is currently in the intensive care unit. His surgery went well, and his condition is improving. The doctors will be keeping an eye on him and as of now, they are planning to move him to the general ward next week," King Kong Entertainment said (via Soompi).

Apparently, the accident happened near the Donghodaegyo Bridge on March 15. Lee's fans send their prayers for his speedy recovery.

The actor made his debut in 2009 in tvN romcom series, Flower Boy Ramyun Shop. Lee also appeared in SBS's Modern Farmer, Love Detective Sherlock K, and in the movie The Mood That Day. He also joined the reality show Roommate in 2014 along with other K-pop artists such as Chan-yeol (EXO), Bom (2NE1), Heo Young-ji (KARA), Jackson (GOT7), and Sunny (Girls' Generation). However, the show was canceled after two seasons.

Reports indicate that Lee is currently fulfilling his duties as a public service personnel member after completing his mandatory military basic training in October 2016. He is expected to be discharged later this year.

Korean Celebrities Who Got Involved In Road Accidents

Park Min Woo is certainly not the first K-pop star who got involved in road accident. Some were unfortunate and did not survive the incidents. Perhaps the most tragic of all involved the K-pop group Ladies Code in 2014. The K-Pop community was shocked when two members of the group, EunB, and Rise, died due to the injuries they sustained from the accident. EunB died at the scene while Rise passed away in the hospital four days later.

Super Junior members also got involved in a couple of accidents in the past. Kim Hee Chul was involved in a traffic accident in 2006. He sustained injuries to his femur. A few months later, Super Junior member Kyuhyun, Leeteuk, Shindong, and Eunhyuk also met with an accident. Kyuhyun was severally injured and in a coma for four days before he made a full recovery five months later.

In September 2007, Wonder Girls also got into a car accident. The girls were unharmed, but their driver died. Girls' Generation Sooyoung also met an accident in 2011 when a vehicle on the opposite lane crashed into her car. The singer suffered from a fractured bone.
