As Dragon Ball Super's Universe Survival Arc comes to an end, fans have been wondering if there will be a new arc beginning. Although Episode 131 answered all the hanging questions viewers have in the series, it leads to a number of assumptions that there will be a new story coming. As Son Goku himself revealed he would return, it looks like they got the answer they needed.

In Episode 131, the Omni-Kings asked Son Goku if they will ever meet again, to which he replied a big yes. Although this might be an emotional moment as they are about to say goodbye, this may be the confirmation fans have been waiting for. Along with his comeback, the legendary Saiyan might just prove Dragon Ball Super will return with a new arc.

To recall, in the recent interview of the anime's creator Akira Toriyama, he revealed Dragon Ball Super's television adaptation would just end for the "time being." From here, fans believe the show will continue. In fact, the franchise is said to live on continuously as Toei Animation confirmed there are more left stories to tell about the Dragon Ball saga.

Aside from the anime series, Dragon Ball Super is set to have its own movie version, according to Comic Book. Toei Animation revealed the film's first official poster, and it showed Son Goku as the only character in a white background.  The animation studio even gave a few details about the movie, and it won't be just a simple prequel or spinoff, but it will continue the events right after Universe Survival Arc ends.

So, this just means the Dragon Ball Super movie will open a new story for the anime series. "From its contents, it turns out to be the next episode of the TV animation Dragon Ball Super," Toei Animation confirmed in a statement. This, too, is the first time a film has been titled after the said show.

Aside from Toei Animation, Akira Toriyama also confirmed the movie has something to do with Dragon Ball Super's next arc. He said the film is carrying the anime series' next story after the Universe Survival Arc ended. So, it looks like fans just have to wait for the movie's release on December 14 to see what will happen next.
