BTS Update: 'Mic Drop' Singers Now Endorse LG Electronics, Fans Surprised With New Hair Color
BTS becomes the new face of LG Electronics Inc. as the company clinched a contract with the South Korean boy band on Tuesday, April 3. The "Mic Drop" singers are going to promote the tech giant's new line of smartphones with the help of their worldwide popularity in the global market.
In fact, BTS is the one who is going to endorse LG Electronics' upcoming flagship model which is expected to drop in June. They are set to promote the new smartphone through different kinds of advertisements using various platforms. Of course, this includes the use of social media.
LG Electronics is hoping that BTS' fame, which goes worldwide from South Korea, the United States, and Europe to South America, will help to build up its brand image worldwide. The multinational electronics company chose V, Suga, Jin, Jungkook, RM, Jimin, and J-Hope because of their great talent and a good attitude toward their fans which match its business strategy.
"As BTS has become world-class artists on the back of their continuous efforts and strong capabilities," LG Electronics said in a statement, per Yonhap News. It also added it is planning to build a new image for its smartphones based on "perfection and distinctive convenience."

In fact, it has been focusing on developing its smartphones' features and continuously gives support to its users by releasing software updates regularly. It has been known that LG Electronics has a hard time reviving its smartphone business as it has been experiencing shortfalls for a number of years now.
