It hasn't been a year since Black Pink debuted in Japan but it looks like they have already won the hearts of their Japanese fans.

YG Entertainment has confirmed that the kpop group will be doing their first Arena tour. "Black Pink Arena Tour 2018: will start at Osaka-jo Hall on July 24 and will move to other two cities in Japan. The group will be performing at six concerts.

It was in July 2017 when the Kpip group debuted in Japan. They sold 15,000 tickets to the event and snagged the top spot on Oricon Charts with their "BLACKPINK" album.

"BLACKPINK took off as a top K-pop girl group in Japan even before they reached their first debut anniversary in Kapan. Since this is their first live tour there, they will most likely receive lost of attention," YG entertainment said.

The girl group consists of Jisoo, Jennie, Rose, and Lisa. They debuted on August 8, 2016 with 'Square One.' Their first number one hit is "Whistle" while "Boombayah" from the same single was the group's number one hit on Billboard World Digital Songs chart.

Their popularity rapidly grew, gaining them an award as the New Artist of the Year at the 31st Golden Disc Awards and the 26th Seoul Music Awards. The group is also the first K-pop act to be included on YouTube's Global Top 25 Summer Songs. It doesn't end there. The group also becomes the first all-girl K-pop act to have three number one hits on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart.

The group will also be making a comeback in Korea in May. Yang Hyun Suk, YG Entertainment CEO and founder posted a teaser on Instagram about the group's future. It confirmed that the four-girl group were done with recording and are planning their return.

After that post, he posted an image of BIGBANG and iKON's strength on music charts and captioned it with:

"April is for WINNER. May will be for BLACKPINK."

The first two artists from the same agency with comebacks this 2018 were WINNER and iKon.
