OnePlus 6 Release Date, News & Update: Device Could Arrive In April 2018; Price, Specs, Features And More Details Revealed

Techies around the world are now thrilled about the imminent arrival of OnePlus 6. The upcoming new device is the Shenzhen-based Chinese smartphone manufacturer's next numbered flagship. Now, new reports suggest that it is likely to hit stores in April 2018.

Most tech geeks are aware that OnePlus, which is founded by Carl Pei and Pete Lau in December 2013, is dedicated to bringing high-end devices at a very reasonable price. To date, the popular Chinese smartphone maker has released a total of seven devices. Speculations suggest that OnePlus 6 is going to be launched next.

Alphr previously claimed that OnePlus 6 is going to sport the Snapdragon 845 processor. The news outlet also stated that the imminent new device could also have a facial recognition feature, which is similar to that of iPhone X. It added that the upcoming new OnePlus flagship would also have a front-facing camera setup that uses an infrared light and a 3D camera to capture better photos.

Other reports suggest that OnePlus 6 is going to have a 6.2-inch edge-to-edge display, internal storage of 256 GB and 8 GB of RAM. It was even reported that its dual-camera setup would have a 12-megapixels and 20-megapixels sensors. Moreover, it would have Android 8.1 as its operating system.

As for its price, Express shared that OnePlus 6 in very unlikely to arrive with budget price due to its high-end specs that are at par with Apple's iPhone X and the Samsung Galaxy S9. There were also claims saying that its price could possibly reach $749. If this prediction would come into reality, then the imminent new flagship would be more expensive than its predecessor -- the OnePlus 5T.

Meanwhile, Tech Radar reported that OnePlus 6 could arrive in April 2018. Though the news outlet previously claimed that the forthcoming device is likely to hit stores in June 2018, it shared that the next OnePlus flagship may come earlier than expected. It was even claimed that the imminent new device would be announced in mid-March.

While these speculations could possibly be true, it is important to note that the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has yet to confirm these claims.
