Stephen Hawking News Today: Physicist Says Planet Earth Won't Stay Longer

Stephen Hawking did several studies that surprised millions of people, which is probably why his name rose to fame. Before he died, Hawking left warnings about the future of earth and the human beings. He even claimed that God is not real after all.

According to a report by BBC, Stephen Hawking, a Theoretical physicist named a lot of probable reasons to end humankind. Hawking warned people about artificial intelligence, climate change, GM viruses, nuclear war and asteroids stating that these impacts should be enough reasons for people to live on other planets.

"Although the chance of a disaster to planet Earth in a given year may be quite low, it adds up over time, and becomes a near certainty in the next thousand or 10,000 years," Hawking told BBC in an interview back in 2016. "We will not establish self-sustaining colonies in space for at least the next hundred years, so we have to be very careful in this period."

As per Hawking's studies, there is a great chance of disaster on Earth which could occur in the next 10,000 years. He is worried that the human beings would not survive as he knows that people aren't capable just yet in leaving planet Earth and sustain in space, which could result in human extinction.

Hawking also stated that "the development of full artificial intelligence could spell the end of the human race" during his interview with BBC in 2014.

Aside from natural disasters, Hawkings claimed that human being could be creating the perfect match to surpass what human beings can do, which is the advanced forms of artificial intelligence like robots. Although having the forms of artificial intelligence are useful, for him, the creation of these robots could end the human race.

Hawking does not believe that God exists. He doesn't even believe that he created the universe. For him, there is no heaven or afterlife.

There's no doubt that AI could bring a lot of advantages in each country, however, many people will be left unemployed too. Perhaps, this unemployment could lead to starvation which could lead to death.

Stephen Hawking died peacefully at his home in England. He was 76.
