Ian Somerhalder & Nikki Reed: Actress Leaves Husband at Home
Twilight star Nikki Reed has been spotted in a pre-Oscars party in Beverly Hills on Saturday night without a husband in tow. Reed in going solo that night and her husband, actor Ian Somerhalder, is assumed to be taking care of their seven-month-old daughter at home.
The 29-year-old actress was photographed alone as she made her way down Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles to meet up with fellow Hollywood celebrities. Reed is seen clad in a chic periwinkle dress with a floral pattern and fringe hem. She paired the outfit with a blue clutch and an elegant stiletto that had three bows that are tied at the top.
This is not the first time this year that Reed attended an event alone. Last month, the 29-year-old actress attended an event by Harper's Bazaar and The OUTNET.com alone. The event celebrates the best costume designers in the industry. She was photographed in a chic dark one-shouldered silk jumpsuit with a blazer atop her shoulders.
Nikki Reed as a Wife and Mother
The Sleepy Hollow actress married Somerhalder in April 2015. They have their first child together, Bodhi Soleil, on July 25, 2017. Reed is taking her role as a wife and mother very seriously amidst her busy schedule in several projects. Aside from her TV appearances, she also has other ventures on the side.
Earlier this year, she launched her new recycled jewelry line in Las Vegas. Her latest collection is in collaboration with tech company Dell and jewelry maker Bayou With Love. Reed's set design is made from recycled tech parts. Somerhalder gushed about his wife and praised Reed for her ingenuity.
"This is called leadership in sustainability and I'm so freaking proud of my wife, @bayouwithlove and @dell for the endless mornings, noons and nights of design, phone calls, brainstorming sessions and the hard work. I LOVE this. I've seen project this from beginning come to life. Life it is. A sustainable life. Let's do this. Amazing," The Vampire Diaries actor wrote on Instagram along with the photo of him and Reed.
Somerhalder has been known to be a very supportive husband to Reed. He also recently took to his Instagram to praise his wife on how she juggles everything in her life yet still have time to keep her mind and body healthy.
As for Somerhalder, he recently reunited with TVD co-star Paul Wesley when they both attended The Vampire Diaries and The Originals Official Convention in Nashville last month. TVD wrapped up its series finale in March 2017.
Meanwhile, Somerhalder and Reed will be working together on a new TV series very soon. The couple's Rare Birds Productions and Warner Bros. TV have been developing for The CW an hour-long drama, titled Prohibited, Deadline reported. No details have been released as of yet on when it will start filming and when it will be released.
The drama is about a former thief, Amelia Jones, who tries to have a fresh start in male-dominated Bourbon Country. Her new life change when her two sisters show up demanding Amelia's help in orchestrating the most dangerous heist of their lives.
