‘The Winds Of Winter’ Release Further Delayed : George R.R. Martin Disappoints Fans

The Winds of Winter fans have been waiting for George R. R. Martin to release the book that they've been longing for almost seven years now. However, it seems like the famous American novelist and short-story writer might disappoint fans once more, as the release date of the book gets further delayed.

According to a report by The Inquisitr, George R. R. Martin previously stated that The Winds of Winter novel would be released before 2018 ends or in early 2019. Yet, new reports are now claiming that it might not be released anytime soon.

In 2017, the Game of Thrones novelist revealed that he is yet to finish the most awaited book. He also denied the rumors that he has stopped working of The Winds of Winter despite his busy schedule in Game of Thrones. Martin stated that the reports are fake and moronic, Primadonna reported.

"I have seen some truly weird reports about WOW on the internet of late, by 'journalists' who make their stories up out of whole cloth," Martin stated in his past interview. "I don't know which story is more absurd, the one that says the book is finished and I have been sitting on it for some nefarious reason, or the one that says I have no pages."

The 69-year-old New Mexican author also revealed that he was working on another series entitled, Fire and Blood. The book would reveal fake histories of the kings of Targaryen. The first volume is going to feature Westeros and its history, while the second volume would cover the Aegon  III up to Robert's Rebellion history.

"Whether 'The Winds of Winter' or the first volume of 'Fire and Blood' will be the first to hit the bookstores is hard to say at this juncture, but I do think you will have a Westeros book from me in 2018... and who knows, maybe two," the Sandkings writer revealed.

It seems like, George R.R. Martin isn't one to rush his writings, as he aims every novel to be successful. As of now, he is yet to reveal the release date for The Winds of Winter. Yet, the great news is that he hasn't canceled it at all.
