Robert Pattinson Wants to Bond With Kristen Stewart Again
Robert Pattinson wants to rekindle his friendship with Twilight co-star and ex-girlfriend Kristen Stewart. The actor believes that their bond is very important even though they remain just friends and not lovers.
Pattinson and Stewart were recently spotted grabbing drinks together in a bar in Los Angeles, California. Some fans shared on Twitter some photos of the two and they were thrilled to see the two together again. It looks like the bad blood between the Twilight stars has already gone and Pattinson has been making some ways to stay in touch with her ex-girlfriend.
"Rob finds his friendship with Kristen very important ... They shared something no one ever feels or usually shares and the power of that is something he will cherish forever. He looks forward to being a part of her life in one way shape or form because it is the important things in life that Rob wants to rely on. And family and friendships are clearly on the top of that list," a source close to the actor told Hollywood Life.
Pattinson and Stewart did not end up in a happily ever after marriage like what their famous characters, Edward and Bella, have in Twilight. In 2012, Pattison and Stewart broke up following the admission from the actress that she cheated on him with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders. Since then, the two were never seen together again.
Currently, Pattison is single. He and former fiancée FKA Twigs split in October 2017. As for Stewart, she is still with Victoria Secret model girlfriend Stella Maxwell.
Twilight Reboot
Now that Pattinson and Stewart seem to be talking again, many fans are wondering if there is already a Twilight reboot in the works. The blockbuster romance film will celebrate its 10th anniversary this year. The first part of the Twilight film saga was released in November 2008 and it raked almost $400 million in ticket sales worldwide. The five installments of the franchise recorded a total gross of $3.3 billion at the box office.
Apparently, Pattinson and Stewart would love to see a reboot of the movie that put them into stardom. The reboot could be in the form of a TV adaptation. However, the two reportedly don't want to be cast as series regular but only as guests. Just the same, the Pattinson and Stewart would most likely to appear together if the reboot will materialize.
In an interview last year, The Lost City of Z actor teased that he is more than willing to join the cast if Twilight author Stephanie Meyer would revive the saga. Apparently, an executive from the studio that distributed the franchise said there are still more stories in the life of Edward and Bella Cullen that haven't been told, Huffington Post reported.
